Jaguar picks Dunlop tyres for new XKR Grand Tourer
Akron, Ohio -- Dunlop's SP Sport performance tyres have been chosen for Jaguar's new XKR Grand Tourer, which was unveiled at the British International Motor Show in London.
The 420-horsepower sports car will be fitted with SP Sport 01 tyres in the front and rear, with owners having the option of Dunlop's 20 inch SP Sport Maxx model.
Dunlop's North American segment product manager Silvana Valencic said the SP Sport Maxx tyres featured multi-radius technology, which placed more tyre on the pavement for maximum dry action, and used a twin hydro paddle tread design for wet traction.
Valencic said the SP Sport 01 range had a special silica tread compound which improved dry and wet traction as well as rolling resistance.
