Eliokem expands capacity at Le Havre
Villejust, France - Eliokem, a speciality chemical company is investing in new reactor capacity at its plant in Le Havre, France. The new reactor capacity which is expected to be fully operational early 2007 will allow the company to significantly increase the output of all its product ranges. These include coatings resins (Pliolite and Hydro Pliolite), latices (Pliocord) and elastomeric modifiers (Sunigum and Chemigum).
"This project is our commitment to support increasing demand worldwide for products that have enjoyed leadership position in their segment for many years†stated Jacques Collonge, president and CEO of Eliokem.
Earlier this year, the company made investments in the United States to increase the capacity production of its plant in Akron (Ohio) with a view to supporting the growth of its waterborne resins for floor coatings (Pliotec) on the North American market.
The current combined production capacity of the three plants, Le Havre (France), Akron (Ohio, USA) and Ningbo (China) is in excess of 70 000 tonnes per year.
