Chemtura boosting rubber chemical prices

Middlebury, Connecticut--Chemtura Corp. will increase the price of its Lowinox CPL rubber chemicals by 12 percent effective for all shipments on or after Oct. 1, or as contracts allow.

The firm blamed the rate hike on the "sustained inadequate profitability on these products, resulting from escalating costs of raw materials, energy, environmental compliance, and transportation."
