Akzo Nobel increases Organic Peroxide prices
Amersfoort, Netherlands--Effective August 1st, 2004 or as contracts allow, Akzo Nobel Polymer Chemicals will implement a price increase for Organic Peroxides. This increase is effective for all customers in Europe, Middle East, India and Africa.
Products effected will be all tert-butyl peresters, which will increase by 6%. These price adjustments are necessary to offset the contuining rising cost of raw materials, labor and transportation.
Organic peroxides are initiators used in the thermoplastic production and thermoset resin curing and elastomer crosslinking applications. Akzo Nobel Polymer Chemicals produces these products in various plants around the globe.
