Airboss of America reports higher sales in first half
Newmarket, Ontario--Sales and profits for the first six months of 2005 were up at AirBoss of America Corp. The company reported sales of $121 million for the six months, compared with $93.7 million a year earlier. Net income for continuing operations was also up, to $3.34 million, from $2.61 million.
In a statement, the company said, "Rubber compound raw material costs remain high and are expected to remain so in the immediate future. There is some speculation that the market for both natural rubber and carbon may trend higher as worldwide demand continues to keep markets tight."
