Las Vegas, Nevada-MediCorp Ltd, the world's third-largest manufacturer of silicone-gel and saline breast implants, is acquiring British implant manufacturer Biosil Ltd and supplier Nagor Ltd for an undisclosed amount of cash and stock.
With this acquisition, MediCor will control about 30 percent of the non-US breast-implant market and have some 320 employees worldwide, said a spokesman for the Las Vegas-based firm. The company plans other acquisitions in the future, but none of these is far enough along to discuss publicly, the spokesman said.
