BRMA issues guidance on runflat tyres
London -- The UK federation of rubber manufacturers (BRMA) has issued a statement giving guidance on the use, fitting and repair of self-supporting sidewall runflat tyres.
In a press release, the organisation says, "Self supporting run flat tyres (SSTs) are increasingly being fitted to new vehicles and are now an established feature of the tyre industry landscape. As their use has grown so too has the level of interest in such questions as whether they can be repaired or retreaded and in what circumstances they can be fitted as replacement tyres."
