ASTM creates rubber testing methods training course
West Consohocken, Philadelphia--ASTM International has created a two-day training course for rubber industry technical and professional staff covering the most common rubber test methods.
ASTM will hold the course three times this year--Sept. 28-29 in Akron, Nov. 1-2 in Pittsburgh and Dec. 8-9 in Dallas.
The group said the course, "Rubber Testing: Selecting, Performing, and Interpreting ASTM Rubber Test Methods," is designed for rubber technologists, chemists or compounders; process engineers, laboratory managers, supervisors and technicians; quality assurance managers and engineers; shop foremen, technical salespeople; or anyone with a need to understand these commonly used ASTM test methods.
The course discusses the nature of the tests, why the tests are performed, interpretation of test results and how this information can be used to improve rubber fabrication.
