South Dakota court throws out rubber chemicals case
South Dakota--The Supreme Court of South Dakota has ruled that it has no jurisdiction over the issue of price fixing in rubber chemicals and has therefore thrown out a civil case in which lawyers, Dougherty & Dougherty filed civil lawsuits againstrubber chemical suppliers, Bayer, Flexsys, Crompton.
The court ruled unanimously that it had no jurisdiction over the case, since the chemicals were not made in State, nor sold for use in the state. The lawsuit alleges that South Dakota residents paid more for their tyres as a result of price fixing by the defendants,
