Beru lifts sales, profits hit by takeover fees
Ludwigsburg, Germany, -- BERU AG has increased sales revenues for the 12 months to March 31, 2005 by about 9 percent over the prior year. On February 10, 2005, BERU AG announced that it aimed to increase its sales revenues by 10% in the full year.
Exceptional events had an impact on the Group's EBIT (earnings before interest and taxes) and net income. In its announcement on February 10, 2005, BERU AG issued an EBIT guidance of some EUR51 million, due to one-off expenses of about EUR5 million for consulting services connected with the Borg Warner takeover bid and changes in the Executive Board (prior year: EUR53.4 million).
