PACE, USWA merge union activities in USA
Pittsburgh and Nashville - The international executive boards of the Paper, Allied-Industrial, Chemical and Energy International Union (PACE) and the United Steelworkers of America (USWA) have forged a strategic alliance.
Uswa said in a statement, "The alliance forged between the two unions recognizes that is in each union's mutual interest to coordinate their activities and share with each other the knowledge, techniques and experiences each has gained in areas in which they excel. The unions commit through the alliance to conduct joint activities in support of their members and their struggles, and to build on their strong rank-and-file programs to raise a collective voice on issues facing the labor movement - especially industrial unions."
