US Operating Room Nurses think they should use more gloves
New Orleans--The US Association of Operating Room Nurses says their members believe they should be double-gloving more often. Double-gloving, when people use two pairs of gloves simultaneously, one over the other, is beleived to odffer greater protection against diseases such as AIDS and Hepatitis, transmitted via bodily fluids.
In a survey carried out by glove-maker Regent Medical, a quarter of nurses said they use double-gloving all the time, and a further 41 percent said they wanted to double-glove all the time, but did not.
