BFGoodrich recalling 20 000 tyres
Opelika, Alabama--Michelin North America Inc.'s BFGoodrich Tires business is recalling about 20 000 BFGoodrich Land Terrain tyres in the US and Canada after finding they lacked tread wear indicators.
The voluntary action by the company of tyres size P235/75R15 followed the discovery of the missing indicators during the firm´s inspection process, the company said. The tyres were made using two moulds provided by a supplier that didn´t have the required wear bars.
The lack of wear indicators doesn´t affect the peformance of the tyres, the tyre maker said. The cost of the recall wasn´t provided.
