Goodyear director resigns from board
AKRON (Jan. 14)--James Zimmerman has resigned his position on Goodyear´s board of directors, effective immediately, Goodyear announced today.
Zimmerman, a retired chairman of Federated Department Stores, has been on the board since 2001. In a statement, Robert Keegan, chairman and CEO, said the board accepted Zimmerman´s resignation "with regret given the innumerable valuable contributions that he has made to the company."
The company did not release any further details, but Zimmerman also resigned from two other boards following a 4 Jan. charge that he lied under oath during investigation of anti trust activities in relation to his former chairmanship of Federated Department Stores, owner of Bloomingdales.
