Zeon invests in R&D centre, but not for rubber
Tokyo--Japanese papers are reporting that Zeon Corp has announced a ¥10 000 million (€72 million) investment in its research and development centre in Kangawa Prefecture, Japan.
The Nikkei reports that, the new unit will investigate materials for electronic chips and that "Zeon intends to develop materials for advanced fields that are forecast to expand over the medium to long term, such as LCDs. It also aims to devise basic technologies in nanotechnology and optics."
