Freudenberg-NOK acquires LSR processor
PLYMOUTH, Mich. (Oct. 19)--Freudenberg-NOK G.P. has purchased Gloucester, Mass.-based Jenline Industries Ltd., a manufacturer of molded liquid silicone rubber goods, for an undisclosed amount to expand its health care products business.
Freudenberg-NOK, a joint partnership between Germany-headquartered Freudenberg & Co. and NOK Corp. of Japan, plans to establish its primary center for LSR products for the health care industry at the Gloucester plant, which was included in the acquisition, the company said.
The addition of Jenline--along with the purchase of Lederer GmbH recently by Freudenberg & Co.--will give the company "the most advanced LSR technology currently available to meet our customers' needs in North America and worldwide," according to Jorg Schneewind, vice president of strategic business development.
Founded in 1989, Jenline produces LSR products for the health care and medical market. It will continue to be managed by Tom Smalley, former owner and president of the Gloucester company.
