Michelin drops 'spoof' jail guide case
London--Michelin has agreed to drop its case against a London-based author over the use of a Michelin logo and trade mark on the cover of his latest book, after the author, Palestinian-born Shimon Tzabar agreed to drop references to Michelin on the cover of his political pamphlet. The pamphlet, a "Guide to Israeli prisons, Jails, Concentration Camps and Torture Chambers". was coloured green and used a similar design, typography and other cues to mimic the Green guides published by Michelin.
The case was due before the High Court in London today (Monday)
