Daikin buys US fluoroelastomer compounder - report
Tokyo--Daikin Industries Ltd has reportedly bought US-based fluoro-elastomer compounder, Cri-Tech Technologies LLC. A story in the Nikkei says Daikin acquired the unit through its US-based subsidiary, Daikin Americas.
Cri-Tech claims to be the US' largest processor of fluoro-elastomers, with 40 percent market share of the domestic industry, estimated at 1700 tonnes per year. Cri-Tech reported sales of ¥3000 million (€22 million) in 2003. It says it is, "full service custom compounder of high performance FKM compounds, specialty compounds and additives"
