Nottingham, UK-The Cheng Shin-Toyo Tire & Rubber Co. factory at Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province, China, is expanding once more, and has ordered two masterbatch mixer feed lines from Nottingham, UK-based supplier Chronos Richardson.
The two mixer feed lines for Kunshan, to be delivered in February 2005, will add to process control system and mixing lines previously supplied by Chronos Richardson. Each of the new lines will consist of weighing and feeding systems for carbon black and white fillers; dedicated zinc oxide weighing systems; oils and polymers weighing and feeding; and a small chemical check weighing and indexing system.
Chronos said it will also supply CR 3000 process control systems for the mixing lines, which will interface with previously supplied CR3000s operating on the site.
Chronos Richardson has “a well-established business partnership with this major Asian tyre producer,†said a statement from the UK operation. This order takes the number of systems sold to Taiwan-based Cheng Shin in the last 11 years to more than 30, added the firm-a business unit of US group Premier Tech.
In 2003, Chronos Richardson gained a major order from the Cheng Shin Group for its new Maxxis International mixing facility in Rayon, Thailand, and another for two mixer feed lines for Cheng Shin Rubber Ind. Co. Ltd in Yuanlin, Taiwan.
