Zeon Corp, which has built its business around high-tech elastomer polymers, is continuing to develop the opto-electronics side of its business, with an announcement that it is to build a research centre and production facility for optical and electronic products.
The company said it intends to invest 4000-5000 million yen (35 million euros) in the project in Takaoka, Toyama Prefecture. The unit will employ around 100 people.
