Glasgow, UK-Strathclyde Police have confirmed that seven people have died following the explosion that destroyed the Stockline Plastics/ICL Tech site in Glasgow on 11 May.
The site was shared by building products distributor Stockline Plastics and its sister company ICL Tech, which mainly manufactures police riot control equipment such as gloves, helmets, polycarbonate shields and batons.
Stockline's warehouse remained intact after the incident, so it seems that the explosion occurred at the ICL Tech operation, said a Stockline spokesman.
Another 21 people are in hospital as a result of the midday blast, with at least three of them in a serious condition.
Several other people remain unaccounted for and rescue services continue to search though the rubble of the building, said a spokeswoman for Strathclyde Police.
