Tensile Rubber Mouldings is among seven companies to have set up in the Automotive Supplier Park in Rosslyn, northwest of Pretoria, South Africa. The park is located in Gauteng, where four auto makers-BMW, Fiat, Ford and Nissan-have their own vehicle assembly plants. The park opened on 18 March and the developers are hoping to attract more component suppliers in the near future.
Tensile is a 60-percent owned black empowerment company, meaning that the owners are previously-disadvantaged South African individuals. It makes rubber goods for automotive customers and others.
