Thailand's largest producer of carbon black, Thai Carbon Black, has reportedly threatened to switch a 40 000 tonne/year expansion project away from Thailand in a bid to get improved tax incentives from the Thai government.

TCB has been planning the Baht 800 million (€16,5 million) expansion to its 160 ktpa facility at Ang Thong since Bridgestone Corp. announced an expansion to its tyre plant in Thailand in 2003.
