The Shanghai futures exchange (SHFE) has agreed to licence some risk management technology from the Chicago mercantile exchange (CME) Initially, SHFE will use the Standard Portfolio Analysis of Risk (SPAN) system for internal research purposes. SHFE will formally introduce the system after a trial period under the approval of the China Securities Regulatory Commission.
