Two separate sources seem to suggest that Japan's Toyo Tire is planning a small- to mid-sized tyre plant in Bartow County, Georgia. The company was not available for comment. The total investment appears to be around $125 million, with Toyo receiving help on a $70 million project to design and build a 50 000m2 covered facility, from Kajima Construction Services of Atlanta, Georgia. The factory is likely to create 250 jobs, according to reports.
