Falken raising tyre prices
By Patrick Raleigh ERJ On-line news editor
Osaka, Japan-Falken Tire Trading Ltd, a subsidiary of Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd (SRI), is raising prices of its tyres sold in South East Asia, Middle East, North America, Latin America and Africa.
The increases on Falken- and Ohtsu-brand tyres for passenger cars, light trucks and trucks & buses, range from 3 percent to 5 percent, depending on products and markets, said a 13 Feb SRI announcement.
The hikes follow a January pricing review at Osaka-based Falken, which was prompted by recent increases in raw material prices including natural rubber, according to SRI.
