Freudenberg plans to acquire Chem-Trend

Weinheim, Germany-Freudenberg & Co., the German holding company of Freudenberg Group, has agreed to buy polymer release agents producer Chem-Trend Inc. from its UK parent for undisclosed terms.
For Freudenberg, a diversified family company with activities in polymer-based seals and vibration control technology among others, this would be its first venture in the chemicals field. The company declined to comment further on the proposed acquisition until after the appropriate government authorities have given their approval.
Howell, Michigan-based Chem-Trend is part of Foseco International Ltd. of Tamworth, England. Chem-Trend claims to be the world´s largest provider of mold-release and die-lubricant technologies with sales and production facilities on five continents
