Chartres, France – French elastomer sealing products manufacturer Prodex has started construction of a new factory near Chartres, in north-central France, which will bring some of its production in Turkey back to the country.
The company laid the foundation stone for the 4,300 sqm facility in Gellainville 9 Oct, according to an announcement by construction partner IDEC.
The new site will include 3,800 sqm of production workshops and 500 sqm of offices, with completion scheduled for spring 2027.
Founded in 1998 Prodex manufactures extruded thermoplastic elastomer seals and profiles.
The investment will allow the company to consolidate its French operations and relocate part of the production currently carried out at its second facility in Istanbul, Turkey.
The project is also expected to create six additional jobs, according to local reports.
