Increasing commercial returns from projects that enhance the performance, safety and sustainability…
London - Collaboration is steadily becoming a central aspect of the drive by global tire manufacturers to meet their sustainability goals and requirements through enhanced circularity and reduced environmental impact.
The importance of adopting a more joined-up approach to sustainability will, therefore, be reflected in many of the presentations and discussion forums at the Future Tire Conference 2026, 17-18 Nov in Prague.
Of particular note will be a Day 1 pm talk on a project by Pirelli, Pyrum, BASF, and Synthos that connects four complementary technologies into a single circular value-chain at industrial scale.
End-of-life and scrap tires supplied by Pirelli are processed by Pyrum through pyrolysis into tire pyrolysis oil (TPO) and recovered carbon black.
From the TPO, BASF produces ISCC+ certified butadiene and styrene, while Synthos produces ISCC+ certified synthetic rubber.
The loop is completed by Pirelli with the reintegration of the recycled chemicals and materials into the production of new tires.
The tire industry’s drive to circularity will be further highlighted in the Day 1 afternoon session by a series of expert presentations – from Black Donuts, Dow Silicones, Emissions Analytics, Kordsa and Synthos.
The Day 1 pm session will culminate with a panel discussion exploring how tire makers and project partners can most effectively increase commercial returns from their sustainability projects.
Join the top-level discussion & debate at Future Tire Conference 2026, 17-18 November in Prague.
