German machinery major’s event focused on industry trends and innovations, including new SealMaster unit
Fridingen, Germany – Rubber moulding machinery manufacturer DESMA attracted an attendance of over 280 visitors from around the world to its Open House 2026 event, held on 1 Oct at its main plant in Fridingen
With senior-level presentations and over 30 machines on display, the programme offered insights into the latest technologies, innovative manufacturing solutions and expertise across the entire value chain.
Presentation topics covered a range current challenges and future trends in the industry, from ‘hydrogen market opportunities and ‘reimagined liquid silicone rubber (LSR) injection moulding to the latest advances in automation and machine networking for rubber injection moulders.
Machines on show – ranging in clamping force from 100 to 1,000 tonnes – included the SealMaster 630+, which was unveiled for the first time during the Open House event.
As presented, the SealMaster 630+ machine combines 630 tonnes of clamping force with “high dynamics, positioning accuracy, and a maintenance- and user-friendly machine design.” It was also said to offer “maximum flexibility in the integration of automation solutions and ejection systems.”
With platen dimensions of up to 810 × 1,200 mm and a clamping width of more than 1,100 mm, the Sealmaster 630+ provides “optimal conditions for demanding applications, such as fully automated multi-tier production,” added a DESMA presentation.
Meanwhile, enhanced productivity, energy efficiency and ergonomics the Reference 300+ was showcased as the first model in a new series of vertical machines, being introduced initially with a clamping force of 300 tonnes.
Features include a drawer system for temperature control units, optimised hydraulic piping, and, for many sizes, increased clamping force as well as a choice between the energy-efficient ServoGear-2 drive and an energy-optimised asynchronous drive.
Partner exhibitors at the Open House include silicones maker Momentive Performance Materials, LSR mixing & dosing specialist Nexus Elastomer Systems GmbH, sensor technology major SICK and Agilox Services, a supplier of autonomous mobile robotics.
