Fourth distribution centre opens in Western Australia as first-half revenue more than doubles in region
Seoul – Nexen Tire has expanded its distribution network in Australia with the opening of a new centre in Perth, in Western Australia.
The move is part of a strategy to “significantly expand” supply capabilities in “the steadily growing Australian market” and further solidify brand presence there, said Nexen 7 Oct.
The Korean tire maker already operates logistics bases in other Australian major cities on the east coast, including Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
“By improving local inventory management, the company will significantly reduce logistics lead times and enhance its ability to respond quickly to changes in market demand,” said Nexen.
The new centre builds on continuous growth in Australia, where Nexen said it ‘more than doubled’ its first half revenue in 2026, compared to the first six months of 2024 and up 50% year-on-year.
"With the opening of this distribution centre, we have secured a foundation to supply our products more reliably beyond the east coast," said group CEO John Bosco (Hyeon Suk) Kim.
"We will strengthen both our distribution network and brand marketing to continue expanding our presence in the Australian market," he added.
