Avon Technologies secures $20m US defence helmet order

Melksham, UK – Avon Technologies has received a $20.3 million (€17.5 million) delivery order from the US Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) for advanced combat helmet (ACH) Gen II helmets.

The order, was awarded to Avon’s Team Wendy Ceradyne business under the second-generation ACH Gen II framework contract announced in February 2022, said Avon 1 Sept.

The amout fulfils the "maximum order volume" authorised for the current option year.

“This additional delivery order is another strong endorsement of Team Wendy’s performance and reliability,” said Avon CEO Jos Sclater.

“Bringing the current option year to its maximum ordering volume demonstrates the confidence DLA has in our ability to manufacture and deliver ACH Gen II helmets to schedule,” he added.
