Finance chief McLaughlin to take helm in October, as search begins for new CFO
Boston, Massachusetts – Cabot Corp. has appointed chief financial officer Erica McLaughlin as president and CEO, succeeding Sean Keohane, who will retire 30 Sept, after serving as the company's chief executive since 2016.
McLaughlin, currently EVP, CFO and head of corporate strategy, will assume the roles 1 Oct, and join Cabot's board of directors.
Keohane will remain in an advisory capacity through the end of 2026 to support the transition, while the company begins a search for a new CFO, Cabot said 30 July.
Board chairman Michael Morrow said McLaughlin's appointment followed a "thoughtful and deliberate succession planning process."
McLaughlin, he said, brings "deep industry expertise" and "a strong understanding of Cabot's businesses, markets and global operations."
"She brings the leadership, discipline and strategic clarity needed to lead Cabot forward and deliver on our long-term vision,” Morrow added.
McLaughlin, joined Cabot in 2002 and previously served as VP of business operations for Reinforcement Materials and general manager of its tire business.
