Move part of broader 'large-scale investment' programme to modernise research and testing infrastructure
Moscow – Cordiant Holding is upgrading its Intyre scientific and technical centre as part of a broader "large-scale investment programme" to strengthen its research and development capabilities.
The initiative covers all divisions of the centre and includes new equipment for raw material quality control, as well as the development and testing of improved rubber compound formulations, said Cordiant 8 July.
Laboratories will be equipped with "high-tech equipment", including ozone chambers and chromatographs to assess the stability of rubbers and waxes.
The project also includes the automation of quality control processes.
"We are implementing a large-scale investment programme, which includes several major projects aimed at expanding our production and research base,” said CEO Dmitry Gorbachev.
Modernising the Intyre laboratory infrastructure, Gorbachev added, is “a key priority in strengthening the holding's scientific and technical potential."
According to Gorbachev, Cordiant has "extensive production capacities" and ranks first in passenger car tire production in Russia with a 27% market share.
Founded in 2009, the Intyre scientific and technical centre develops products and technologies for Cordiant and the holding's industrial assets.
