Industrial elastomer group expects second-quarter earnings to more than double year-on-year
Vienna – Semperit Group has raised its full-year earnings outlook after forecasting "significantly higher" second-quarter earnings than both the same period last year and the first quarter of 2026.
The Austrian industrial elastomer group said second-quarter earnings (EBITDA) are currently expected to reach around €40 million, compared to €19.6 million in the second quarter of 2025 and €26.8 million in the first quarter of this year.
First-half earnings are expected to total around €67 million, up from €30.7 million in the first half of 2025, said Semperit 14 July.
Based on business performance to date, Semperit said it was raising its full-year outlook.
Operating earnings (EBITDA), excluding project costs of around €5 million, are now expected to reach €100 million, up from previous guidance of approximately €95 million.
The Austrian group said "significant uncertainties remain" in connection with the war in the Middle East, particularly regarding the potential impact on raw material costs, global economic trends and demand in its key markets.
Semperit will publish its first-half 2026 results 13 Aug.
