Technology focus – Precision dosing

Fulda, Germany-based Uth GmbH has introduced a new dosing system for continuous mixing processes, based on its roll-ex gear pumps.

The unit is said to enable the feeding, plasticising and "precise" dosing of viscous materials such as polyisobutylene, SBR bales and butyl rubber.

The modular design employs application-specific feeding units that enable the “processing of polymers in various forms while ensuring accurate dosing.”

Continuous feeding, added Uth, “contributes to stable processing conditions, minimises air inclusions, and reduces production interruptions.”
