Commission completes year-long probe into alleged dumping of PC/LT tires from China
London - The European Commission has decided the level of import duties to impose on passenger car and light vehicle (PC/LT) tire imports from China.
The tariffs range from 30% on companies cooperating with the EC anti-dumping investigation to 52% for all other companies involved.
An exception is Hankook, which incurred duties of just 3.4% - an EC document dated 27 April also shows.
Brussels launched its probe into imports of PC/LT tires from China in May 2025, following a formal complaint by the 'coalition against unfair tire imports'
The coalition alleged that Chinese-made tires were being sold in the EU “at unfairly low prices,” undercutting European producers and causing material injury to the industry.
According to case details published by the Commission, the petition claimed that dumping margins of Chinese PC/LT tires were between 41% and 104%. (ERJ report)
