Tire maker cites “steady growth” in volumes and revenue amid trade and geopolitical pressures
Shandong, China – Prinx Chengshan has reported a 7.6% year-on-year increase in revenue to Yuan11.8 billion (€1.5 billion) in 2025, while profit attributable to shareholders fell 17.1% to Yuan1.09 billion, according to its annual results.
The Hong Kong-listed tire maker said it delivered “steady growth” in both sales volume and revenue despite “overall industry pressure,” reflecting “solid operational resilience.”
Total tire sales rose 4.7% to 29.29 million units, driven by gains across its core segments.
Truck and bus radial (TBR) tire sales increased 5.3% to 8.4 million units, while passenger car radial (PCR) volumes grew 4.7% to 20.4 million units.
Prinx Chengshan highlighted a shift in its channel mix, with international dealer sales rising 3.4% to Yuan7.80 billion.
Direct sales to automakers increased sharply, with revenue up 73.9% to Yuan1.93 billion, marking “leapfrog development” and opening “new growth areas.”
Domestic dealer sales, however, fell 10.6% to Yuan2.08 billion.
The group said its dual production bases in Shandong and Thailand operated “steadily,” contributing 62% and 38% of revenue respectively.
During the year, the company also began full-scale construction of its Malaysia plant, forming what it described as an overseas “twin stars” production structure alongside Thailand.
The Malaysian plant is aimed at improving supply chain resilience and “hedging against external uncertainties” such as trade barriers and geopolitical volatility.
Profitability came under pressure during the year, with earnings (EBITDA) falling 11.1% to Yuan1.77 billion.
The group cited “escalating international trade barriers, geopolitical volatility and uncertainties in relevant policies” as key factors.
