Chinese tire maker names Zhou Lingkun to lead operations
Shanghai, China – Shandong Linglong Tire has appointed Zhou Lingkun as president following the resignation of Wang Feng, who stepped down from the role in order to “optimise the company’s governance structure.”
Wang resigned with effect from 16 March, ahead of the end of his term, but will remain in a number of senior positions within the group, said Linglong in a 17 March stock exchange filing.
The roles will include chairman, head of multiple board committees, and president of the company’s research institute.
Linglong said the change “will not affect the normal operation of the board of directors or the company’s production and business management,” adding that Wang had “diligently performed his duties” during his tenure.
Zhou brings experience from global consulting firms including IBM, Hewlett-Packard and Deloitte, where he held senior roles such as “consulting partner,” “chief talent officer” and “president of the digital business unit.”
The appointment is effective immediately and will run until the end of the current board term.
