Unit has marketed and sold SR major’s materials since spin-off in 2022
Tokyo – ENEOS Material Corp. is to acquire JSR Corp.’s rubber sales business for the electronics industry, the Japanese synthetic rubber (SR) producer announced 27 Feb.
The unit has marketed and sold SR produced by ENEOS, since the latter’s formation in April 2022 through the spin-off of JSR's elastomer business.
The deal will facilitate “integrated production and sales management within our company… accelerate decision-making and improve business operational efficiency,” stated ENEOS.
Amid expanding demand in the semiconductor and electronic materials sectors, it added, “we will accelerate the development of higher value-added products and the expansion into new applications.”
The business transfer is expected to be completed by around April 2026, though further terms of the deal were not provided.
