Technology focus – Vibration dampers for snow machines

Fridingen, Germany - Rubber machinery manufacturer Desma has spotlighted the use of injection moulders in the manufacture vibration dampers for snow groomers.

The moulded elastomer components used must withstand not only mechanical but also extreme thermal loads, according to the Fridingen-based company. 

As snow groomers are often in use around the clock in mountainous regions, reliability of the anti-vibration parts crucial, its release also pointed out.

The mouldings are produced on machines from Desma's D 968.560 ZO B750 and 968.700 ZO B750 series,
