McCarthy: New additions reinforce diversity and expertise within Tyres Europe
Brussels – Tyres Europe has announced that Turkey-based Bridgestone subsidiary Brisa and Italian retreading specialist Marangoni have joined the association as full members.
The additions, announced 4 Feb, will strengthen the collective representation of the European tire manufacturing industry, Tyres Europe said.
“Their joining reflects the importance of a strong and united industry voice at the European level, particularly at a time of increasing regulatory complexity and transformation for the tire sector,” said Tyres Europe president Livio Magni.
Also welcoming the new members, Tyres Europe secretary general Adam McCarthy said the move “reinforces the diversity and expertise within Tyres Europe, particularly in retreading and circular economy solutions.”
“We look forward to working closely together on key EU policy files affecting competitiveness, sustainability and innovation in the tire industry,” McCarthy added.
Cenk Kocdor, Brisa’s chief growth officer, said the company will use its membership to contribute to dialogue on regulation and market dynamics, while strengthening its market intelligence.
Vittorio Marangoni, president of Marangoni, also said his group was ready to share its expertise in the circular economy of tires.
