REP expands India presence with Tung Yu partnership

Corbas, France – French rubber machinery maker REP has strengthened its presence in India through an expanded partnership with Tung Yu India, appointing the company as its official sales agent for the Indian market.

The move extends a long-standing collaboration between REP and Taiwan-based Tung Yu and is intended to expand REP’s reach, customer support and operational presence in India and the wider SAARC region, said REP 27 Jan.

The two companies have previously co-developed dedicated ranges of rubber injection moulding machines, combining REP’s injection moulding technology with Tung Yu’s manufacturing capabilities.

Under the new arrangement, Tung Yu India will offer both Tung Yu and REP equipment, with a particular focus on the co-developed ‘optimum’ OPTI range of rubber injection moulding machines.

The OPTI machines, according to REP, are designed for rubber processing applications and cover clamping forces from 150 to 800 tonnes, with injection volumes ranging from 500 cc to 35,000 cc.

The partnership will be formally presented at the India Rubber Exhibition (IRE) in Delhi from 7–10 April.

Equipment on display will include a Tung Yu compression press and an OPTI300 rubber injection moulding machine manufactured in India.

REP said the reinforced partnership supports its strategy to grow its rubber machinery business in India through locally supported sales and service.
