Facility in Svay Rieng to have an output capacity of 7m tires per annum
Weihai, China - Triangle Tyre Co. has announced plans to build a Yuan3.2 billion (€395 million) manufacturing plant in Cambodia as part of its “globalisation strategy”.
The facility will be built in Svay Rieng province with construction work scheduled to start in March, said Triangle in a 15 Jan announcement.
The plant will have a designed capacity to produce 6 million units of high-performance passenger car tires and 1 million commercial vehicle tires.
The products will primarily target "stable-growth international markets" such as North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Southeast Asia, it added.
Once fully operational, the unit is expected to generate an average annual revenue of Yuan2.585 billion, with an investment return rate of 15.1%.
Triangle said the move marked a ‘new phase’ in its globalisation strategy and will “significantly enhance” its global competitiveness.
Based in Weihai, Shandong province, Triangle currently operates four tire plants in China and is ranked 25th in ERJ’s Global Tire Report 2025.
