European Commission investigations into allegations of dumping will be continued
Brussels – The European Commission has announced that it is not imposing provisional anti-dumping duties on the imports of Chinese passenger car and light truck tires.
In an announcement 18 Dec 2025, the Commission said it had decided not to impose provisional measures but stressed that it would continue its investigation into the allegations of dumping of tires from China.
EU launched its probe into the imports in May last year with a revision timeline of 14 months. (ERJ report)
At the time, it indicated that provision measures may be imposed in eight months “if dumping and consequent injury have been provisionally established.”
The EU currently has anti-dumping and anti-subsidy measures in force on imports of tires for buses and lorries from China. (ERJ report)
