‘Personnel negotiations’ aimed at improving financial performance, operational efficiency
Nokia, Finland – Nokian Tyres has concluded the personnel negotiations in Finland with the aim to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
Following the talks, the Finnish tire maker said it will terminate 35 white-collar positions by the year-end, compared to the earlier estimate of 55 announced last month.
The adjustment measures also include temporary layoffs of approximately 650 blue-collar and white-collar employees in passenger car and heavy tire production in Nokia, for a maximum period of 90 days per person by the end of 2026.
Nokian said negotiations or “other necessary processes” have been carried out in other countries in accordance with local legislation.
