Deal includes option for full acquisition of wheel maker in 2029
West Chicago, Illinois – Titan International Inc. has completed a strategic partnership with Brazilian wheel maker Rodaros Industria de Rodas Ltda., following regulatory approval, the company said 28 Oct.
Rodaros is claimed to be the second-largest agricultural wheel manufacturer in Brazil.
The partnership includes an initial $4 million investment for a 20% stake, with commitments to acquire the remaining 80% in 2029, subject to financial performance criteria determining the valuation.
Titan will take one seat on Rodaros’ three-member board and will provide financial oversight, the company said.
“This partnership reinforces Titan’s strategy to offer integrated wheel and tire solutions for agricultural and construction equipment,” said Paul Reitz, president and CEO.
Combining Rodaros’ wheel manufacturing with Titan’s tire production and distribution will support customers across Brazil and South America, he added.
Reitz said the move will enable Titan to supply wheel/tire assemblies to OEM customers in Brazil, a capability not currently offered by key competitors in the region.
The partnership is expected to mirror Titan’s assembly model in the US, he noted.
“This positions us closer to becoming a global supplier of both wheels and tires across key markets,” said Reitz. “We expect growth in Brazil and improved support for OEM customers.”
