New material designed to improve elastomer and polymer crosslinking performance
Dusseldorf, Germany – Arkema has launched a new generation of formulated organic peroxide granules developed to enable “faster and safer curing” of elastomers and polymers.
Luperox NeatCure was unveiled during the K Show, currently underway in Dusseldorf, and is designed for continuous curing processes such as extrusion, salt bath and continuous vulcanisation, as well as shorter press and injection moulding cycles.
Arkema said the material was created in response to tightening regulatory requirements and aims to combine high curing performance with safer handling.
The ‘dust-free’ granular formulation is intended to reduce handling risks and improve workplace safety.
“This illustrates our ability to bring responsible innovation to the market, combining safer handling with superior efficiency,” said Tilo Quink, SVP performance additives.
Romuald de Haut de Sigy, global group president for functional additives, described the product as a “decisive step forward” for customers in elastomer and polymer processing, adding that it was designed to ensure “the highest level of safety and compliance.”
