New FKM compounds series said to combine high performance with optimised efficiency
Waldkraiburg, Germany – Gummiwerk Kraiburg has developed a new series of FKM compounds for technical applications that require enhanced resistance to high temperatures and aggressive media
Branded Kraiburg Fluor, the compounds are claimed to offer an “outstanding” combination of material performance and economic efficiency, said a release supplied 2 Oct.
Other features include strong aging, ozone and UV resistance, ensuring “long-lasting components even under the most challenging operating conditions,” said Gummiwerk Kraiburg.
Target applications include O-rings, fuel systems, seals and shaft seals for automotive vehicles, as well as seals and components for the chemical, aerospace and oil & gas sectors.
Delivery forms include calendered sheets and plates, endless feeder strips, extruded strips and granules for further processing, the company noted.
The materials, it added, can be processed using conventional compression moulding, transfer moulding, injection moulding and extrusion.
“All compounds are fully compliant with REACH, RoHS, and PFHxA (< 25 ppb) requirements,” Gummiwerk Kraiburg further stated.
