Wanli Tire, China Auto Parts establish joint ‘innovation laboratory’

Tianjin, China – Wanli Tire and China Auto Parts have established the ‘China auto parts joint innovation laboratory’ to serve as a platform for testing and basic technology collaboration between the two entities.

The collaboration, announced at the 2025 automotive supply chain intelligent technology innovation forum earlier in September, will focus on tire and new material testing.

The collaboration is intended to strengthen research and testing capabilities in tire technology, with Wanli Tire as the sole contributor from the tire industry.

Work will particularly emphasise on “cutting-edge testing technology” that can guide industrial development.

Resources such as talent, equipment, and information will be shared to achieve complementary advantages.

China Auto Parts operates under the CATARC platform, a comprehensive group of Chinese companies that provides product testing and certification for the automotive industry.

Its business includes testing and certification, policy consulting, standards research, and supply chain services, providing support to the domestic automotive and tire industries.
